What people are saying about Timanfaya National Park

Great guide and locations, too dragged out with stops

Firstly, the blonde lady leading the tour was brilliant, as was the driver. The actual drive through Timanfaya was excellent, and the camels were lovely. I would recommend the trip for these, and the price was a bargain. But it's not really a 5hr tour. It's a 2hr tour with 3hrs picking up and dropping off people. There were so many pick up stops. We got on the coach at 9am and spent the first 2hrs stopping at hotels picking up customers in 3 towns, then the final 1.5 hours doing the same. I think the coach stopped at about 6 different places in each town. Surely it would be better to just have 1 or 2 meet up points in each town? None of the towns are very big so walking around them isn't exactly a long hike. We were getting bored by the time we actually neared the park. It would be better if they cut the coffee/toilet stops each way, had 1/2 pick up points per town, and got a coach with a toilet to cut all the stops. Tip: take a book and snacks for the first leg of the trip.

Fascinating to see the volcano and learn more about the island

It was a good trip - could have been better. Some information was given on the coach journey, but I would have liked to hear a lot more. We made a 20 min stop at a restaurant on the way there which I thought was unnecessarily long. In contrast, at the destination itself, which I found really fascinating, everything was terribly hurried, we were rushed from one thing to another to the extent I seriously struggled to have sufficient time to take photgraphs! I would have preferred the time wasted waiting at the restaurant to be spent at the actual volcano! We then visited a wine tasting place. We were given brief info on the coach about wine growing on the island but at the wine tasting place, no info at all, we were given the taster and again hurried along which made me feelit was a bit of a gimmick. The on the way back we had a 20 min stop at the restaurant again! In short, I still rated the trip as good, because it was...but less restaurant, more volcano please!

Well planned and executed. Time at the volcano was educational.

The guide was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The trip to the park was interesting and worth the price itself. It is a thrill to be standing on a working volcano and especially to see the cooking of the chicken over the heat produced by the volcano. My wife enjoyed her came ride very much. The bus was comfortable and I must commend the driver for her high standards on those roads.

This was a fantastic tour. Our guide was passionate about her island.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour in Lanzarote. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave the information in an easy to understand way. This island is unlike anything I have ever been to before. The landscape although bleak at times had a beauty all of its own. A definite just do tour when you visit Lanzarote.

excellent overview of all there is to do in that spectacular area

Very nice tour, I was very impressed by your service: going to the trouble to send someone ahead in a car to do the rounds of the pickup points to warn people that the bus had some mechanical problems and was going to be 10 min late. I really enjoyed the trip. Many thanks!
