Full description
You will begin your Jerusalem Old City tour with a bird’s eye view across Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. From there you will be able to see beyond the Old City walls to Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock. You will then drive down the mountain, passing an ancient Jewish cemetery, the Biblical Garden of Gethsemane, the stunning Church of All Nations, and Kidron Valley (where monumental Jewish tombs have stood for centuries).

Next, you will approach the Old City, passing the Dormition Church and arriving to Mt. Zion. Here your tour will visit the Room of the Last Supper, where Christ ate with his Apostles on the eve of his crucifixion. Your tour then enters the Armenian Quarter via the Zion Gate, as you pass the Armenian Church of St. James. Here your tour guide will tell you about the fascinating history of Armenian culture, before you move on to the Jewish Quarter.

In the Jewish Quarter you will stop to see the sacred Western Wall, which was the last surviving part of the Second Jewish Temple and the holiest Jewish landmark in the world. It will be at this location that you can join others who come to place a prayer note in its crevices. You will then retrace the course Jesus took as he carried his cross to Calvary: the Via Dolorosa.

You will soon arrive to the sacred Holy Sepulchre, which is a 4th-century church holding the last few stations of the Cross, including the Calvary where Jesus was crucified and his burial tomb. The vast structure is shared by several Christian denominations and has more than 30 chapels. Your tour of Jerusalem's Old City will then come to an end, but not before you enjoy some "retail therapy" in the traditional Old City Bazaar.
