The course of the tour was extremely well organized. We traveled with the rental car from Puerto de la Cruz to the port in Los Cristianos. There we were greeted on time by our guide Uwe. The tickets for the ferry were already organized after we had previously sent our ID details to the organizers by email. When we reached El Hierro we were divided into buses depending on the language of the country. Uwe was very competent and gave us various information about this beautiful island. Of course we stopped at the typical viewpoints for photo stops. The lunch was included and tasted good. There was first a salad platter, then chicken thighs with wrinkled potatoes and eggplant vegetables. As a dessert, poppy seed cake and strawberry slices. The free time was sufficient. We were also shown a sea water swimming pool and one of the smallest hotels in La Frontera. A long but successful day!

The ups and downs of an island

It is clear that a 15-hour day can not replace a holiday. But this tour of El Hierro shows an overall view of the smallest island. It goes up and down very low - all very relaxed with a view through the window. Our driver drove very decent, so that you could stay relaxed on the edge of a precipice. Was held in places with spectacular views - and time for coffee in between also remained. Two guides explained the details of the island in four different languages - not too much (otherwise the ears ringing after hours) but still felt informative. Lunch was served from the buffet - a warm main course with many side dishes to choose. All in all an eventful day with a lot of pictures on the camera.

It is not much better

The organization of the trip worked very well. There were a total of 3 buses that were full, including 2 with German language. The ferry ride lasts 2- 2 1/2 hours and is a challenge for sea sick people if they want to walk around on the ship. Each bus took a different route and the really good lunch took place separately. There were many stops with beautiful views. Overall, a very successful day. On the way to the ferry we easily found a parking space, about 500 meters away from the ferry, so we could save the parking ticket. We drove the rental car to the harbor.
