Full description
Travel back in time on a tour from the south of Tenerife to the nearby island of La Gomera. Discover an unspoiled island lost in time, so beautiful and fascinating you will want to stay forever.

Catch the fast ferry to San Sebastián de La Gomera. Then, drive from the capital through the valley of Hermigua toward Garajonay National Park. Travel through the forest of “El Cedro” and marvel at its unique vegetation. Enjoy lunch at the top of the island while watching a demonstration of how the locals perform their unique whistling language called "Silbo Gomero." Formerly used as a means of communication on the tiered crops of the elevated terrain, the language is still taught in schools to this day.

On your way back, pass through "Chipude" and "El Cercado." Admire the impressive rock of "Agando." Learn the history and culture of San Sebastián, and see the church of Asunción where Christopher Columbus prayed before his journey to the New World.

I am not a fan of group trips but it was the most efficient way of getting to know the new place and have a glimpse of what to explore further in the future. La Gomera in the pill. Very good organisation, very good guide and comfortable transport. These guys know their job and doing it well! La Gomera is beautiful, the roads are sometimes a bit narrow, high and scary but it’s an inevitable part of experience. The view of Tenerife and Mt Teide is just breathtaking. I have enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to people in any age. Especially when you are on a short holiday and want to make the most of it!

Tour given live in 3 languages, completly outdated.

So the friendly, talented guide followed instructions to a tee, repeated everything in three languages, non-stop and I mean non stop - talking for the complete tour. Barely a second to hear yourself think on the bus. Hate to say it, but in such a world class tourist area like the Canary Islands, with people speaking many languages, a plug in headset in ones own language of preference, would have been so much more appreciated by us travellers. The tour itenery was excellent, cost efficient and very, very professional. We still highly recommend it and hopefully the company will make the changes we have strongly suggested.

Fantastic day out...dawn to dusk! La Gomera is an amazing island and by bus is the way to see it as I would be too terrified to drive myself!
