Full description
A trip to 'Echadero de Camellos', integrated in the Park of the Volcanoes bordering the National Park of Timanfaya and one of the most photographed spots on Lanzarote. Your ride will take place in a lunar landscape for about 25 minutes through registered paths.

Learn how they are called camels, but in reality are dromedaries, belonging to the same family but with only one hump. They are ruminants, generally with a passive nature. And have a life expectancy of around 40/50 years. These animals have been domesticated for thousands of years for desert use. They are able to survive in extreme conditions by eating only straw (do not require grain) and can last up to 10 days without drinking water using the fat reserve of their humps.

Throughout this tour you will also learn all about these spellbinding animals and their history of domestication. In addition to the walk, close to the beginning of the route there is a rest area with a camel-themed museum and information point. This is a short duration activity, especially fun for children and the whole family.
