Full description
Your tour (private and group options are available) will start outside the main cruise port gate in the morning. Anticipate to behold such well-known Tallinn landmarks, as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Dome Church, Kadriorg Palace and Toompea Hill during your tour.  When you arrive in the Old Town of Tallinn, you will be astonished at the number of medieval landmarks: The defensive towers, Fat Margaret Tower and the Great Coastal Gate are the first sights you're going to see in Tallinn. Proceed to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral which is over a century old and has undergone a restoration process. Walk along the narrow streets to see merchant house, including the Three Sisters Houses which have turned into a 5-star modern hotel. Catch a glimpse of St Olaf’s Church, Dome Church (Virgin Mary Cathedral), then climb a number of steps to reach Toompea Hill, where you'll have an opportunity to capture breathtaking city views and picturesque landscapes with your camera.

After the walking tour, you are free to have a snack, enjoy a cup of coffee at a local café, or purchase a couple or souvenirs. Then come back to your spacious bus to be transferred to Kadriorg Park, where you will go for a stroll, and enjoy scenic views of woodland, vegetation, park constructions and swan ponds. Behold the exteriors of Presidential Palace (Kadriorg Palace), the Imperial summer residence of Empress Catherine I. Nowadays, the palace contains the foreign art collection of the Estonian Art Museum.

Follow your guide to take pictures of some notable city landmarks located on the territory of Pirita, the modern district of Tallinn, such as KUMU Art Museum, Song Festival Grounds and Olympic Yacht Center, which represent the Estonian architectural heritage of 20th century. Then proceed capturing fascinating views of the famous Pirita beach and St. Bridget's Convent. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to the ship.

Prepare for the activity

Meeting point

The meeting point is located outside the cruise harbor gate and your guide is not allowed to walk inside the port. Due to port reconstruction, meeting locations have changed and you have to walk 5-15 min from your ship (depending on the pier number) to reach the meeting point of private tour operators. When you exit the ship, you need to walk past the souvenir shopping area towards city center. Depending on the location of your ship, your ship may dock right next to souvenir shopping or you may need to walk about 200-300 meters (220-330 yards) to reach the souvenir shopping area. Please note that there are some tour buses inside cruise port area, but these are operated by cruise ship agents. Independent tour operators have no authorization to enter this secured area. When walking out of the port, you will pass a big hot air balloon and hop-on hop-off buses. Please continue walking towards the gate. There is only 1 gate out of cruise port and this is the place where the tour starts
