The baths were great, quite crowded, but definitely a relaxing experience. Many baths to choose from but the outside ones were the best.
The baths were amazing and you could easily spend the whole day here relaxing. I even suggested going back if we had more time but we filled our time with other activities.
Went with 7 others and we had a fantastic time. Can’t believe we were outside in the pool in December. The water was 38 degrees. Perfect. Then the evening cruise complete with live music and a meal was outstanding. Certainly a day to remember.
I went on a weekday at 10am and it didn't get that busy as some of the pictures suggest. We left around 1pm as we wanted to do more that day but if you fancy eating at the cafe or bringing a pack up you can easily spend the whole day there. I bought my ticket using get your guide and this was a lot easier than trying to work out the ticket We needed when you get to the baths.
I've been to two baths/spas now in Budapest: a small place with a lot of locals and the Széchenyi. I really enjoyed both and would recommend them heartily. Going for an evening of relaxation after sightseeing is great. I was pleased to meet and talk with some friendly locals here (I had feared tourists had taken over). Sometimes "quiet rooms" were not so quiet due to large groups of younger travellers, but we had a enjoyable time nonetheless. For me, the bath culture of Budapest is something not to miss out on!
