Full description
Starting in the cozy, quaint confines of the classic Östermalmshallen, the old market hall of Stockholm, you’ll enjoy samples of local cheeses and meats, your first tastes on the tour.

From here on your 4-hour tour, you’ll walk with your guide through the most modern areas of the city, sampling the best of healthy and classical foods with a twist.

At Stockholm’s food market, you’ll sit down with a lunch plate filled with delectable Swedish seafood. No visit to Stockholm is complete without sampling this local specialty!

After lunch it’s time for the sweets! In the very heart of the city you'll visit a local chocolate store, where the owners’ romantic story adds an even sweeter flavor to the locally made gourmet chocolate.

Hötorgshallen, yet another of the city’s food markets, is also on the route. Stop for a chance to learn about the historical importance of the market and the shops, and for a few quick tastings as well.

Continue with your guide to Gamla Stan, or Old Town, where you’ll admire some of Stockholm’s original houses. Stop at a tiny factory that makes polkagris, the most traditional of all Swedish candies.

Your final stop is for coffee in a romantic courtyard, where you can enjoy the best cinnamon rolls in town.

Fantastic guide, great intro to Stockholm, fantastic, plentiful tastes

Theresa was a great guide. Knowledgeable about food, local history, the areas we passed through, and fun. We acted on one of her restaurant recommendations a couple of days later and enjoyed an amazing dinner at Lisa Elmqvist. We also had an interesting, small group for this tour which really enhanced the whole experience. The tour information promised enough food through the tastings for a full meal and we were not disappointed. We were also served a local beer ("breakfast beer" given the time of day!) and had a pleasant Sauvignon Blanc at a stop at a quite elegant resto. I'd recommend this tour to anyone interested in experiencing the flavours of Sweden.

Nice tour, knowledgeable guide and well-balanced, interesting stops (sweet & savory). Overall a great experience! Only the last stop in Old Town for the cinnamon bun was rather underwhelming and unlovingly organised by the Café. Even though the weather was brilliant, they seated us in a dark cellar vault (where you can also find the toilets). Buns were dry and coffee cold before a group member reuested fresh hot coffee. I'd recommend the tour organiser to look for a different partner for this last stop. A nice and fresh cinnamon bun on the street would have left a better last impression of the tour that was otherwise a really pleasent and rewarding experience. Thanks!

Our Tour Guide names Soma was awesome. She was enthusiastic, funny and very detail about the food history and ingredients. The meatball and the fish place had delicious flavor. Really enjoy it
