St Petersburg: State Russian Museum Skip-the-Line Tour
- Skip the ticket line
- Duration: 2 hours
- Private group
We bought a 3-day City pass - a great saver indeed. Hop on hop off bus was good to orientate ourselves with the most significant sights but the traffic was really bad in the afternoon and the bus did not stick to schedules. So, go early and ensure that you are a few minutes earlier at the hop on stops. The hop on hop off boat was also enjoyable. Don’t miss out on the free St Petersburg walking tour. Plan your visits to the museums well - too many, too little time... Another tip: plan the river cruises in advance and exchange all your vouchers for firm tickets at the Embankment 2 ticket office to secure your seats.
Hi in Moscow I got a card to go around in saint Petersburg apart from the blunder on the part of Getyourguide cancellation of my pass the pass was ok. Unfortunately the new one I had to paid was in a form of a booklet in which you had to tear sections in order to use. That was very inconvenient. Also instead of looking for the place of collection you should have an office in the airport. The time for collection was also bad, 11 am is very late.
A very busy two days. Our guide, Valeria from Marina Wilson Tours, was very informative and gave us a wonderful experience of St Petersburg. There were only the two of us on the tour so we had the personal attention of our guide and driver. Entry to Catherine's Palace and the Hermitage was very speedy and 'beat the crowds'. Lunches were excellent and in unusual restaurants rather than the usual mass cratering of most tours.
you will have to stay in regular line to exchange your book ticket for an attraction one . so no time savings but some money. good selection of the attractions. missing hermitage and access to Petergoff palaces and parks ( beware they are all separate tickets); hop on hop off buses have good route but most of the times you stay in traffic and not all stops are well defined. tour on the water was great.
I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the Church of the Spilled Blood and the Russian Museum. My guide Evgeniya Subbotina was extremely knowledgeable & explained the history of the Church & the history behind the paintings at the Museum very well. I would definately recommend this tour to other visitors interested in seeing the evolution of Russian history through.
