Full description
Take the unique opportunity to see an authentic and wonderfully preserved Soviet nuclear bunker. Though plenty of bunkers were destroyed during the 1990s, this bunker still keeps history alive. It has maintained its original interiors, Soviet posters, and instructions for procedures in the event that the Cold War broke out. Following a short introduction you will learn about the history of the plant in which the bunker was set up before your guide leads you through the airlocks to the bunker itself. As you step into the bunker you'll step into a different epoch, entering an area where it will seem as if time has stopped. The bunker was divided into several areas for life and work, and contained all the necessary equipment along with vital everyday objects, all of which comprise the museum's exhibition today. During the tour you will not only learn about the structure of the bunker and actions that were taken in case of emergency, but see original appliances including water containers, dosage meters, and ventilating equipment. You can even try on an authentic antigas respirator or a chemical warfare suit.
