What people are saying about St. Elijah
It’s such a great experience. Went in January and it was good as it wasn’t crowded. Most of the time we had all areas to ourselves. It was much better than I expected. Make sure you pack some food with you as it is a long day and maybe pack some extra food to feed the three pups and their parents in Pripyat, the dogs will be very grateful. Overall it was an amazing experience that I recommend to everyone!
The reason this is not a 5 star review is because I was expecting a bit more of Pripyat itself. I was hoping to go into buildings and get a feel of the 1986 life, see abandoned livelihoods etc, but you are not allowed to go in anywhere and the houses have been cleared anyway.
Amazing experience! We were very fortunate to visit Pripyat as the Ukrainian Army had been conducting drills there in the early part of the day, but thankfully our tour guide managed to get us in after 3pm. If you are interested in Soviet history then this is a must for you.
Would definitely recommend this trip. It is so interesting and informative. You get to see so much of Privyat too. Also the stray dogs and cats in the area are monitored for anyone who wants to go but don’t want to see stray animals! They are fine!
The tour was exceptionally well organised. The tour guide (Danilo) had a well put together tour and had answers to all of our questions. All in all a great and interesting tour to all who want to visit Charnobyl
