What people are saying about St Andrews

I had a great time on my two day tour. I went the week after Hogmanay, so it was cold. But totally worth it! It was so beautiful seeing all of the architecture and just the colors of the Highlands. We went to see standing stones at Clava Cairn, the Hermitage, as well as the Glenfinan viaduct (to name a few) which is featured in Hardy Potter. Hearing that I was an Outlander fan-Michael, my tour guide tried to squeeze in any sights he thought I’d appreciate along the way. It really helped make my trip multidimensional, more than just staying in one city the whole time. It also took the stress of planning independent exploration and all the details that requires, off of me. This made it so I could relax and more fully enjoy my trip. Thanks you guys for helping make my trip memorable. Michael you were fantastic! Cheers

Loved it. St Andrews is well with the trip and stops at Anstruther and Falkland were also great. We ended up having almost an hour at Falkland Palace that was quite beautiful. Our guide was very nice and very knowledgable entertaining, but maybe just a tad too self indulgent with personal humor. A little more history and local information along the way would have been preferred. Just a little. It's a long trip so I get filling it with a little humor, but... Bus was very comfortable. Appreciated having a USB port at the seat as I started the day with less than adequate charge, but brought my charger just in case.

The guide is a chap who clearly knows his stuff when it comes to the local history and the paranormal in the local area. He takes it very seriously and this is not the sort of ghost walk devoted to drama and making you jump. Due to Covid restrictions the tour was restricted to one household per booking. Totally understand why but does detract from a group experience.

It was fun, the guide was nice. I liked our stop at the fishing village (Anstruther?), and St. Andrews, and then Falklands Village. It was very picturesque and gave you a good feel of the local villages. Our weather was nice, so that helped, and it was interesting that there was a major golf tournament going on at St. Andrews Golf Course.

Richard took us on the evening tour at 7.30. Extremely impressive historical knowledge. Apart from the weather we could have spent another 90 minutes and the rest absorbing the knowledge he had to impart. Fantastic guide.
