Full description
Enjoy a unique experience for  food lovers. Take a 2.5 hour culinary tour in the beautiful Croatian town of Split and experience the tastes of the Mediterranean cuisine. The first step is visiting the main local fish market in Split, located next to the famous Marmont street that leads to the city's main promenade. You have the opportunity to choose ingredients from a large variety of fresh seafood such as blue fish, white fish, shrimp, crabs, mussels and prawns.

This is followed by a visit to the main city market that offers a big variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. You will visit these sites with an informative, friendly and professional guide, and have the opportunity to purchase extra ingredients for dishes.

The next step is a visit to the Diocletian Wine House restaurant to arrange with the chefs preparation of the meals. After preparing your dishes, you will enjoy a lunch in the unique atmosphere of the restaurant. Located in the 1,700 year old Diocletian's Palace, the restaurant offers a highly intimate and pleasant ambiance.

Peka is one of the most famous local dishes in Dalmatia, especially in the countryside. The preparation of Peka takes place in a special area usually situated on the ground floor of the house or a barn. Meat and vegetables are prepared in a pot or a tray and put into the cinder of a fireplace. It takes some time to prepare it, but it is worth the wait as the ingredients will have melted together to create a small paradise for the palate! You have the option to choose between two kinds of meat: octopus or veal.
