Full description
Departure from Sorrento with air-conditioned bus and authorized English speaking guide to visit the suggestive archaeological site of Paestum. During the walking tour of the site there will be the possibility to admire some of the best preserved Greek ruins, architecture and monuments, such as the Temple of Poseidon and the Basilica dating from the 6th century. In the museum you can admire the Tomb of the Dive a magnificent example of Greek painting, representing a funeral banquet; the did of the tomb depicts a young man diving.

Another stop of the day will be the town of Salerno, which was  the world capital of medicine in the medieval times, the monastery of the benedictine monks offered the best education available at the time. In more recent times Salerno is best remembered for the allied troops landing on its beaches during the Second World War.

Nowadays you can walk through the streets of the center till the main church and pass by the lovely promenade by the sea.
