What people are saying about Siem Reap

Truly Informative Guided 4 Day Tour Angkor Wat & Siem Reap Recommend

We had taken a lot of time to research our trip to Angkor Wat and Siem Reap. Important to us was, Deep knowledge by a guide that would be with us. A suggested program over days, clear inclusions and exclusions. Transport via a comfortable, safe air-condition transport not a Tuk Tuk. Flexibility in the tour during the days if weather or circumstances of location or personal change. Tour company to include Transport and Guide as one package. Tours over 3 or 4 days offering. Cost competitive. After much comparison of Tuk Tuk drivers, established international brands offering tours, local tours and recommendations from friends we settled on "Get Your Guide".. Why? Great Tour Guide "Sar" and the only one 4 days for the same price as some of the 3 days. The itinerary was detailed and included a full description of the Tours. The 3-day pass was ideal, picked up the late afternoon and used for the sunset, perfect in this instance. We would suggest 4 days if time permits..

Great tour, great organisation, great guide!!

Our guide Noy was super nice, told us all about the history of the Angkor temples but also about Cambodian history and culture, and the site restoration. He answered all our questions and was very clear! The staff was also really nice and kept giving us water and fresh scented towels throughout the day. The program is focused on the three most famous temples (Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm) but it is enough for one day as it takes about 1 to 1,5 hours to see each temple (even longer for Angkor Wat). I would definitely recommend the tour if you only have one day to visit the Angkor temples, or as a first day to discover the main temples, and go more independantly with a tuk tuk or bikes the other days. For lunch they to us to a really good restaurant, but a bit more expensive than what you find in town (about $10 for main + drink)

Perfect guide for exploring the temples around Angkor Wat

We booked a two days tour with Sarak to visit the temples around Siem Reap. We had our tour in the rainy season on Sept 18th and 19th with Sarak and a driver. It was a perfect experience, Sarak speaks very good English and is very knowledgable in the history of Cambodia and the temples. He did not overload us with information, but focused on the essential facts. We were lucky with the weather, it rained sometimes, but mostly when we were driving or gaving lunch. Sarak has a good camera and and excellent eye for good camera perspectives, which he shares very openly. We can only recommend to book a tour with him.

Really lovely evening spent relaxing on a boat w/ drinks and sunset

We really enjoyed this activity. It gave us a glimpse of Cambodian life we would not otherwise have seen, specifically the floating village and lotus farms. The dinner on the boat was relaxing. The boat does not really cruise but floats along. We enjoyed sitting in the hammocks with a drink in hand, making for a very pleasant experience. The dinner includes simple dishes, and was filling although some people opted to diner after (it’s also an early dinner). I would recommend this activity highly - very relaxing.

Intelligent guide and interesting tour on full-day of sightseeing

Our guide Sam was very interesting and spoke great English, which he used to explain some background to the temples as well as the more modern and tragic history of Cambodia. The sites were great, and the bus was comfortable with cool water and towels which were needed. Wearing a skirt or shorts that just about reach your knees is fine for both sexes, jeans are a bad idea as there is a fair bit of walking involved. Comfortable shoes also highly recommended as the trails are dusty and rocky in some temples.
