What people are saying about Siem Reap

A really interesting and informative trip

This trip gave us a real insight into the way of life of Cambodians and the Vietnamese people living in the floating villages. Our guide, Supec, gave us lots of fascinating information and looked after us well. For a young man, he certainly knows his stuff. We had read poor reviews of this tour by other companies, but our fears were groundless. We were a group of six, all different, but a lovely blend of nationalities, and we enjoyed having lunch together on the Queen Tara. The food was lovely and freshly cooked. A great half day tour, although comparatively more expensive than the full day tour of Angkor Wat.

a lovely relaxing way to spend an evening

A good way to experience the lake, see a bit of the lake inhabitants way of life and beautiful sunset vista. I could do without the crocodile, etc deck stopover but realise for some it could be interesting. The stop over at the lotus farm was a nice addition. There were only a few of us on the Queen Tara for the dinner part of the tour which made it very peaceful. The boat ride back in the dark is a bit of an adventure and again gives a good glimpse into the daily life of the rivers inhabitants. I enjoyed the tour, it was professionally handled, I would recommend it.

Really lovely evening spent relaxing on a boat w/ drinks and sunset

We really enjoyed this activity. It gave us a glimpse of Cambodian life we would not otherwise have seen, specifically the floating village and lotus farms. The dinner on the boat was relaxing. The boat does not really cruise but floats along. We enjoyed sitting in the hammocks with a drink in hand, making for a very pleasant experience. The dinner includes simple dishes, and was filling although some people opted to diner after (it’s also an early dinner). I would recommend this activity highly - very relaxing.

A must try! We had a chance to see Cambodia's sunset w/ our bare eyes!

A must try! Me and My friends love to travel and we are very eager to see sunrise/ sunsets and stargaze in different parts of the world but Sunset in Ton Le Sap Lake was awesome, at first we feared that we would not have sunset because it's raining so hard in some part of Siem Reap but luckily! as we expected and thank God, The Sky allows us to see it. We had a chance to see Cambodia's sunset w/ our bare eyes! good view but food is not enough. haha! luckily we still had fruits left.

Not as expected. Dry season means no boat trip.

Bus collected us and returned us to hotel. Very good. We went in the dry season. So there was no "floating" village as such just a very tall village. The river was dry so no real boat trip, we went to a floating cafe and waited 2 1/2hrs for the sunset. With no way off... Still the beer was not too expensive and the sunset was awesome.. Chilled out trip if you can handle being "trapped" on a floating cafe. Enjoyed the experience, better in the rainyseason I bet.
