Top sights in Paris
The Seine might be one of the world's most scenic urban rivers, flanked by exquisite monuments such as Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. A cruise is the best way to enjoy it as long as you don't forget anything essential! Here's what to pack.
Even if all's calm on the City of Love's streets, its river is exposed and highly susceptible to strong winds. Even in summer you might need a good jacket!
Again, the Seine is exposed and so are you. If you're not seeing the sights by night, you'll want to see them on a sunny day. Keep yourself protected!
Many of Paris' most famous sights can be seen by boat, opening the door to some fantastic photo opportunities. If you have them, enhance the experience by bringing binoculars too!
Unless you're taking a dinner cruise of course! But even then you should think about bringing your own water bottle.
Corny? Perhaps. But hey, it's Paris! Why not check out some other tour options to round off a romantic day?
A Seine river cruise can cost anything from €10 per person for a basic boat tour to upwards of €200 for a candle-lit, gourmet dinner cruise by night.
776 kilometers. Oh wait, you meant the cruise? With dinner and entertainment you could be looking at up to 4 hours, but if you don't have that kind of time to spare, the less expensive ones should only take an hour!
- When should I visit? Please check individual tour times, which vary by activity.
- Is it expensive?Prices can be anywhere from €10 to €200, depending on what is included.
- Will I need a guide? Many tours provide narration along the way, but you may want to look online for more information or bring a guidebook.
- How to get thereTours start at varying locations along the river, which is dotted with other top attractions.

What people are saying about Seine River
About 1/3 size of the other boat this felt like a much more pleasant experience. Food was good not great but as best one could expect from crowd prepared food The views were awesome. The tour has no guide so don’t expect anyone to give you a history lesson on Paris or the Seine. All in all a really good value and relaxing.
We have all the information needed, everything was managed well, enough time to see eiffel tower from 2nd floor, Seina trip also excellent, no waiting, priority boarding.. Well done.High recommended. Thank you agency team for nice experience.
A beautiful evening cruise on the river from the base of the Eiffel. Our tickets were open ended time, so we popped down the the cruise after visiting the Eiffel tower. We time it perfectly to see Paris from the river in one direction and see everything lit up on the way back... Then to see the Eiffel lit up on the way back is a sight to behold.
Great staff and cruise. Steak was a little thin, but other food items delicious.
Great, would do it again, relaxing peaceful way to see parts of Paris and the beautiful buildings. Best view of Notre Dame!!! Pre buying saved soooo much time!
