A worthwhile trip largely due to tour driver/guide Mark who saw to it that we enjoyed our trip to Whistler and all stops in between. It was a lovely clear day so we were able to make the most of the views. A bit sorry not to see snow but it was summer after all.

I know we missed some beautiful views due to the weather but it was still a wonderful trip. I wish there had been an option to decide on the gondola ride dependent on the weather. If we could have done it on the way back from Whistler, the weather would have been more clear. Our guide was not bad, but I have had some really excellent guides before. Compared to some of my tours in the past, he was quite average. I found Whistler to be very touristy and commercial. Lots of overpriced shops selling the same types of things and a few mediocre restaurants. But the views were beautiful and I am glad we did it!

This was a very good trip. The driver/guide was witty in a dry sort of way (my only quibble is that he reported some Spaniard as the first person to discover some part of Vancouver, rather than stipulating that he was the first white person). We saw four bears in Whistler (two from the bus, which kindly stopped and allowed us to rubberneck) and two halfway up a mountain (bit unnerving, this). All in all, very good service and everyone was friendly and helpful.
