Friendly, honest, informative tour, without theatrics

Truly one of the most enjoyable tours I have participated in. The group was small (five people - says never more than 10), the guide a local (member of the Usher family, who have lived in Edinburgh for several generations, at least, and so very knowledgeable. The two other tours I had in Edinburgh were led by foreigners, who focused on acting and theatrics to tell stories, as opposed to just relating facts and information. Further, the Usher's will adjust their tour based upon the needs and desires of their participants, as opposed to a canned script. Recommend the Usher's tour to anyone truly interested in learning about Edinburgh in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. A+ in my book!

Perfectly tailored to our expectations...

Our guide, Gordon, was personable, funny and interesting and knew an incredible amount about the history of Edinburgh and Scotland. He started by asking us exactly what we hoped to get out of the tour and adapted as required. We were full of questions and he always knew the answers as well as having many interesting or amusing anecdotes that made the tour more interesting than being told a stream of dates and facts. We had a tremendous time and couldn't have asked for a better guide. Thanks Gordon!

Loads of fun and overall a great experience!

The conductor was great. Really funny but also knew his stuff. The general vibe on the bus was fab as well. Really spooky and the stories told along the way really bought Edinburgh to life.would definetly recommend. Although make sure it is dark when you take the tour. You will have a much better experience.

Brilliantly spooky fun, a must if you visit Edinburgh.

So glad I booked this tour. Great fun led by a very knowledgeable guide who worked both floors of the bus really well. The bus itself really looks the part and adds to the whole ecperience. Education, storytelling and comedy all rolled into one. I will definitely do this again next time I visit.

Very original with a lot of insight walking tour

Thank you Richard for the walk and you insights in Edinburghs history, geography and gastronomic. We tried the food and the Last Drop today and it was very very good - especially the chocolate brownie at the end. One of the best I have had - and none of them was ever in a pub. Many thanks again.
