This was an amazing tour and just what I had hoped for. I have pain/difficulty walking and stair-climbing but managed - worthwhile! Our Guide, Leonardo, was super, a lovely chap and so enthusiastic and helpful (he could also tell us on the mini-bus about the food of Italy. As this was my very first visit (and would now be encouraged to return!) it was a lovely wee respite from the ancient Catacombs. For myself, the two small bus journeys across the busy streets between venues was a pleasant little 'break'. In all - GREAT. And thanks to all, Heather.
We really enjoyed the trip. The meeting point was easy to find and very close to our hotel. Our tour guide Martha was excellent - funny, informative, great with the kids on the tour. She was very knowledgeable and much of her talk was quite thought provoking and insightful. She also gave us some great suggestions on other things to go and see. Would highly recommend the tour.
Great guide who was knowledgeable, got through a lot of info without sounding cocky and who kept everything running smoothly. Three very different places: one museum with many many bones arranged as you’ve never seen them before, with a compelling story to boot; one catacombs which is quite fascinating; one roman house hidden in Rome.
Got there an hour early after reading a review that they got overbooked- this was far too early in the heat. It was well organised and as a late booking just the night before we were on the list and expected The guide Marta a history major was well balanced with her views and accepting of others. Great fun and learnt a lot
Shannon our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and thus added to our overall experience. The tour gave us incredible insights into Roman life and Christian life after death beliefs. Our Insight into Roman street life really put the life and times of the Roman Empire into perspective. We loved it!
