What people are saying about San Gimignano

Kind and nice personality of the guide was the nicest.

Pro: the program is quite efficient and nice to look around Tuscany area without a car. Even two carriers were with us but there was no problem and just carried on the bus. (There were stroller and baby, so the driver kindly keep open the bus trunk for the parents) Con: I wish there was some kind of pamphlet for the entire day schedule. Of course, the guide gave us the full explanation of it but for 30 min, I fall asleep due to a hot day and all the walk around, I missed some narration and end up some village without knowing anything. But, you can dig on the internet, so not a big problem. And the wine tasting was funny and good, too. But it was outside of the building and horse shit smell was quite intense. There was inside tables, but I guess our number was too big for inside room. I think if you want to 'taste' wine, it better be without any shit smell. But the winery owner and servers' service was fantastic and really kind.

Great way to see multiple Tuscan highlights in one day

It was rainy while we stopped for Monteriggioni - glad it was a short stop. We skipped the meal so we could explore Siena's Cathedral, Museum, Baptistry, & Crypt - it worked out great for us so we didn't have to rush; the local tour guide didn't really provide any additional information from what our guides had already told us. San Gimignano was nice and we had just about enough time to really explore the sights. The wine tasting seemed disorganized -- it took the vineyard staff took forever to bring around the samples - what should have been a short stop took quite awhile (and after a long day, we were tired and just wanted to get home).

Fun, good tour guide, not enough wine, and overpriced

Overall the guide (Valentina) and the group were really friendly and it was a fun day out. It was incredibly hot though and the bus felt like the heat was on for the trip back and the whole bus was passed out bc of it. This tour was nearly $90 US and there really was no food included and not even close to enough wine to warrant this price. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating but it just felt like there should be more to the trip. The area is gorgeous that we visited and overall we had a fun day, but just wasn’t great value.

Beautiful countryside togeth tasting the finest wine and local product

The villages we visited were picturesque and wonderful. We had enough time to wander around. On the way the guide provided interesting information on history and the area. The visit to the chianti winery was lovely. It offered an excellent tasting and the farmhouse and grounds were an additional bonus of the visit. The dinner offered everything it promised and more and the location had a lovely view. They kindly took food dietary restrictions into account and offered a lot and tasty alternatives.

Very fun experience and a great way to see Tuscany

We had a ton of fun on this and felt that it was a good value. The only downside is that I would have liked to spend more time in San Gimignano. It is such a cool town and while we were able to do everything we wanted, we felt a bit rushed. All in all it was great though.
