What people are saying about San Gimignano

Excellent choice for seeing the Tuscan countryside

We could not have had a better experience. While it was supposed to be a group tour, my daughter and I ended up being the only 2. Our tour guide, Francesco, is the reason for my 5 star rating. He bought my daughter her first Italian coffee and then entertained us and was willing to answer all of our questions about Tuscany (and really Italy in general). He even shared his Napoletan pizza dough recipe with us! San Gimignano is a quaint and beautiful town and I do wish we had had more time to explore. Don't miss Dondoli's Gelato! Both wineries were beautiful and we learned a lot about the process of wine making. We were given bread, meats, cheeses, olive oils (including truffle and spicy truffle), balsalmic vinegar and dessert. We arrived back in Florence full and happy and with wonderful information and memories. Thank you Francesco!

Beautiful countryside togeth tasting the finest wine and local product

The villages we visited were picturesque and wonderful. We had enough time to wander around. On the way the guide provided interesting information on history and the area. The visit to the chianti winery was lovely. It offered an excellent tasting and the farmhouse and grounds were an additional bonus of the visit. The dinner offered everything it promised and more and the location had a lovely view. They kindly took food dietary restrictions into account and offered a lot and tasty alternatives.

An easy way to visit hard to access towns in Tuscany

This tour enabled us to visit three of the towns/villages we wanted to see in Tuscany all in one day, which would not have been possible on public transport. We would have liked more time in San Gimignano which was our favourite of the three as we only had an hour there. The day ran smoothly and to time with our escort Sara doing a good job of rounding us all up and getting us from place to place. The wine and food tasting was a great way to finish off the day as well.

An excellent tasting at Poggio Al Laghi was the highlight.

Elena was a very professional guide who kept us all informed and to good time throughout the visit. Full marks to her! Castellino in Chianti and San Gimignano were both interesting but very busy so there was not much time in this quick visit to see much. But the wine and balsamic vinegar tastings were terrific.

Instructive, wondrous, genuine experience .

The guide tour had patience and hilarious. He explained without any exception. In general, you cross along the Via Francigena from the north to the south of Siena; hills and greenish landscape. You learn how to taste wine and sufficient time to see the sourroundings of the countryside.
