Shows birth of Portugal as a nation highlighting their religious zeal

A good one day trip from Porto. The religious landmarks in Braga are spectacular and Guimarães is truly the cradle of the Portuguese nation. Our guide, Tiago, from living tours was extremely knowledgeable and had a passion for history but was never short of a joke, which made the time pass quickly. Tiago also did extremely well in keeping me, as the only English speaking member of the group, constantly informed. Of course, we were in Portugal so that mean't plenty of local produce to eat and drink at lunch.

Having such a knowledgeable private guide made the day

Our guide Maria was very nice in person and fountain of information not only relating to the sights we were visiting but to the everyday realities of life in Portugal. She has made the trip very special for us and we were leaving with fond memories of northern Portugal.

Knowledgeable, conscientious, competent tour guide.

Our tour guide, Paola (?), was excellent. Sadly I've misplaced her card. She knew her material inside and out, she was organized, methodical, took everyone's limitations into consideration and did a phenomenal job of taking us around on this nine hour tour.

A very good n interesting trip with an interactive group

Bernado made sure that the entire group interacted n no one was left out. He was very informative n knowledgeable of the sites we visited. The lunch too was well taken care

Excellent guide brought the cities to life.
