itinerary looks good, but most places (except sambodromo and maracana) were crowded. so not enough time to walk around and see everything. especially on Christ, were so many people, terrible. guide gave us only 30 min, had to go up the stairs, make ur way through hundreds of people trying take selfie, photos etc, and try to have a look around, beautiful panoramic views, and then walk back down. too rushed! there was option for elevator but line for it was going to take 30 min anyways. sugaloaf was good. a bit disappointed about maracana, got to see only main entrance with statue of the team capitain and then drive around in the van, basically didnt see anything. i was expecting we will be able go inside and see ourselves how massive it is inside, but didnt happen. cathedral was good. sambodromo interesting to see, lunch was great at traditional churascaria, choice of food/meat was great. selaron steps again too crowded and didnt had enought time to go all the way up the stairs to see
We had a fantastic full day 9 hours tour provided by C2Rio. On that day our groups only had 14 people. 3 of them spoke English and the rest spoke Portuguese. Renan was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city. He spoke fluently: English and Portuguese, and was very patient and organized. The van was comfortable and clean. The 9-hour tour included Christ the Redeemer Statue, the Sambódromo where the Carnival was held, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Selaron stairs, the national Soccer Stadium, Copacabana and Sugarloaf Mountain. The lunch at the traditional Brazilian BBQ restaurant was good. We really enjoyed the day and would highly recommend C2Rio Tours when you are visiting Rio.
This trip was far better than we could have imagined and included far more on the itinerary than stated in the tour description including the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio which was stunning. The guide Bruno was 1st class and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide, he was probable, knowledgable and all round good fun and company to be around. He made the trip so interesting and was by far the best guide we encountered on our entire trip to Rio. The lunch was absolutely amazing too. I loved this tour, it made our trip and was essentially all of Rio’s highlights in 1 very well organised trip. Highly recommend
Normally we are not for sightseeing tours in a group. But this tour covered the most important sights in a day and because of the distances this was the best way to do it. And because it was a small group (seven guests) it was nearly a private tour. Very knowledgeable tour guide - thanks Alex! We can highly recommend it
Pedro(the guide) got his message across in English clearly and understandably, while Alvis(the driver) negotiated the frightening ascent/descent to Christ The Redeemer expertly. I will do the same tour again with the duo if/when I come back to Rio. The particular City tour was money well spent. Dr. Toks Abiose.
