What people are saying about Salzburg

Succinct way of seeing the highlights of Salzburg in one hour

We were hosted by Leo, who drove us, a total of 8 passengers, around to tell and show us the highlights of Salzburg. It was a good choice as it was raining on and off on the day of the tour and would be ideal for those who do not want to do a walking tour in the rain. The icing on the cake for me was being driven to see Leopoldskron Palace across from the lake. Although the weather was not great, what a brilliant view!! The weather didn't take anything away from it and it was worth seeing, if only for 5 mins. It was actually the attraction I was most interested in seeing, so I am pleased that I chose this tour as I did not want to make my own way there or spend hours on a tour just to get there. The fortress you can see from a distance as it sits high above the town. Meeting point was very easy to find.

Hallstatt in an afternoon is definitely worth it!

Really good tour, long lines for sky car to the top. Not worth it at all if weather is remotely poor. If raining you are better spending your time at the bottom having a good look around. We had to rush after waiting in the queues to get up and down before being able to see the town proper. Once at the bottom it is amazing. Thomas was our guide and he was amazing. Incredibly friendly and really healthful. One of the better guides I’ve ever seen. If I did it again and the weather was marginal I’d avoid going up the sky car and use my time to properly explore Hallstatt. In summary, well worth the effort and the tour company was tops.

Fantastic scenery with intelligible guidance~

Everything was great. Even in the drizzling weather, the scenery was quite enjoyable. The guidance was fastidious and easy to be understood even to a foreigner. I enjoyed it very much. One thing I would like to do but couldn't was to visit the salt mine, which alone took 1.5 hours. Driving to Hallstatt took about 3 h back and forth and the total tour was 5.5 h. Including the salt mine, it will take at least 7.5 h, which is perhaps too long for a day tour. In any event, I recommend it.

Excellent tour organised by Panorama Tours

Excellent tour organised by Panorama Tours. The tour ends in 5.5 hours. They give about 2.5 hours in halstatt which is kind of enough to see the place, but if you take the tour to the viewing point on top of the hill, then time will fly. Tour guide was a senior citizen who was good with his commentery. Good tour to take to see the countryside of Austria/Germany.

Wonderful, up-close Salzburg experience with guide Michaela Muhr..

Loved the old-city walking tour on the way to get our bikes, including stops at Confiserie Josef Holzermayr's to taste the famed Mozartkugler (chocolate and marzipan filled candy), the Mirabelle Gardens, and many historical places including the locations of many Sound of Music scenes throughout the surrounding Salzburg countryside. A perfect way to see the city!
