What people are saying about Salou
Myself, my wife and our two daughters (14 and 10) had a wonderful time at Costa Caribe. The Waterpark is perfect for children of all ages. To benefit from all of the rides, you need to be at least 140 cm tall. We bought our tickets in advance. When you arrive, show your booking form and you will be let through the first gate. You then walk up a hill for about 300 yards and then you queue again to have your booking form exchanged for tickets. After that, you scan your ticket and you are in! The key to a great day there is to arrive when the gates open at 10:00. It was mid August when we went and we feared it would be heaving, but it didn't get busy until after midday. Head to the back of the park early on and you will catch the big rides - El Torrente is a great family ride. Pre-buy drinks/snacks from supermarkets...food and drink expensive. Locker hire is on the left as you walk in. Worth doing, as then you can stash your drinks/camera/food/money and go have fun!
We had a great day out with Daan, at the Tarragona Hills villages, very knowledgeable and informative, lots of time to look round and we were lucky as the village we were in for lunch had a flower festival, lots of photo opportunities. Unfortunately the waterfall was out of water, but attractive scenery and walk to the waterfall, across an interesting stream bed, if you want to see water need to go when it has rained a lot. The views of the hills were very impressive, would do it again. Daan also arrived 10 minutes early and we were out for over 6 hours.
Excellent service from Salou Safari. Collected promptly from our hotel by polite and knowledgeable guides. Wine tour was very interesting and wine guide gave good unhurried description of the process for each wine with plenty of tasting as we went. No pressure to purchase. Scenic tour was brilliant and beautiful. Very lovely and romantic castle ruins. Nature and history so interesting. Our guides gave exceptional service and would use again.
PortAventura land has some of Europe’s biggest and fastest rides and is a great day out but because of this it’s very busy. You can buy express wristbands, which allow you to go ahead of those that don’t but are very very expensive. Expect waits of 1-2+ hour waits for the big rides, bring a drink and a hat!
Had a fantastic time at our first ever scuba session. Our instructors, Nicky and Luis, were lovely. Both experienced, knowledgeable and patient. Very reassuring as they were both constantly making sure everyone was okay. Would definitely recommend for first timers or beginners. Wonderful experience.
