What people are saying about Sachsenhausen Memorial

Guide was excellent. Information delivered was like a college seminar

While the Sachsenhausen tour was memorable and we will always be glad to have taken it the long walks were very demanding physically on a senior citizen. Also I am appalled that no opportunity was given to have lunch even though we passed several restaurants on the trek to and from the site.

Sam was absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly!

Sam is a fantastic tour guide who held our attention the entire time! Was really knowledgeable about Germany as a whole as well as well as its vast history.

Brilliant tour made even better with having a great guide.

Although the day was very long it was made much more bearable by having a great guide. George is obviously passionate about his job and this comes over easily by his way of communicating with his very varied audience. He made us all feel a part of the visit and gave great encouragement to the younger members. He also excelled in the role of keeping everyone informed as to what was happening, be it train times or when and where to obtain food. At the end of the tour he personally spoke to each person to ensure the had the correct travel information to get home.

Moving and sensitively led tour round Sachsenhausen

We were led by Gregor and everything from the warm greeting at the start and important practical info regarding the tour to the history and background of the concentration camp then the guided tour itself was really excellent I would recommend this tour

Fan bloody tastic .... mate (to be read in Australian accent)

We had Aussie Steve as our tour guide and he was brilliant. Very informative and empathetic yet added tasteful humour. Our tour was on a Monday which unfortunately the museum and the doors to go inside most of the buildings were closed, which we didn’t know of. Despite this, Steve filled in the information that was inside and allowed us time to look through the windows and described what we could see. Very harrowing place, very sympathetic to the history. Highly recommend booking with this tour, especially with Steve.
