What people are saying about Rovaniemi
We were picked up from outside our apartment a little late but our guide was friendly then went onto another pickup that was a no show then back to the office which was just around the corner from our pick up. We joined a larger party making 47 in total. We were taken by coach to a lake side location walking through woodland in the dark using head torches. We had dressed up warmly and were offered one-piece suits as well as the temperature reached-20 degrees. We warmed ourselves around an open fire whilst our guides prepared the bbq. Then went to the lake to look for Northern Lights but although it was a clear sky we didn’t see the famous lights. Returning to the fire we enjoyed fish soup, sausages and blueberry tea followed by toasted marshmallows. It was a fun evening although disappointing we chatted to other travelers but it was very very cold.
Major cock up as NUT take too many people at once....16.....too too many. The hole was not even big enough for 4 and was being carved out as we waited...and waited....on the first attempt.....lights were on so saw them from lakes edge. Second attempt just 6 of us ...in and out like nobodys business....no lights though and smaller group meant no waiting so no getting cold either whereas previous night people were frozen coz of waitin so long.
Hi, Husky Farm and ride was ok but should be increased to 10-15 minutes, Snowmobile ride is a bit short this rice should be longer and also over frozen lake addition will be good. Rendeer farm was ok but ride was tooo short should be at least 10-15 minutes. Additionally it is better you should include how long will be the rides and snowmobile tour will take. Thanks for the day, the tour guides were amazing on the other hand.
I enjoyed this tour very much especially when you had a guide patiently waited for you when you told him your difficulties in walking up a steep path during the trip. Hugo was also knowledgeable to explain the place for us. We had a great time, the Korouoma waterfalls was just amazing, it was surrounded by beautiful trees covered in snow. We love it very much.
Our guide Franziska was amazingly helpful and friendly and has interesting stories. She lets you have your experience in your own pace. The activity itself is very enjoyable and calming in the silence of the frozen lake and surroundings, watching the stars and, if you're lucky, northern lights.
