What people are saying about Rotorua

My family and myself really enjoyed the night we had at Mitai Maori Vi

This is a wonderful place to take your friends and family. Maori culture is great and we can all learn so much from this. Hangi food so GOOD! Only complaint for the evening we went we could not hear what the Maori man was saying and we noticed a lot of people near where we sat could not either. The first time we went several years ago they had a much better system. Need to see to this or else others will be disappointed.

Mitai Maori Village Evening Cultural Experience Reviewed by Patti, 29/07/2019

Lovely dinner and beautiful song and dance

We enjoyed very much the hangi dinner with lots of delicious food to choose from. It was all well organised and the haka song and dance was beautiful. We were also lucky to see the geysers in full action. It is although very “setup” for tourists so if you expect authentic Maori people living in their houses then don’t go here.

Great cultural experience and delicious food!

Thoroughly enjoyed by young and old. We were sceptical about how cultural this was going to be, but it was very im for and about the traditional culture of New Zealand. We were provided with a delicious buffet dinner, that was quite bountiful. All staff and performers were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing view!

We had such a great experience! I took my husband here for his birthday, He loves the food and had a birthday to remember. I would like to thank our waitress for the night, Hana. She was so lovely.

Great overall experience but food a little rushed

Great to see a taste of another culture and how they are rebuilding their village. The Hangi buffet was nice but felt rushed as time ran out to get and see the geezer.
