Full description
Meet your guide and head to a local coffee roaster for an espresso before making your way to the Jewish Quarter where you’ll enjoy a crispy fried artichoke. Visit the oldest Jewish bakery in the area where five generations have been baking original sweet and savoury kosher treats. Along the way, stop to learn about the Stumbling Stones, memorials to the Jews who were arrested on October 16, 1943, during the Nazi occupation of Rome.

Discover the picturesque and quaint district of Trastevere where you’ll stroll along cobblestone streets to reach the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, the heart of the neighbourhood and a great place to witness everyday life in Rome. Then it’s time for a local street food stop for some true Roman pasta. This is one of the most local street food places in town where you will also meet the owner.

After filling up on pasta, head toward Piazza Trilussa, one of the most popular spots in Trastevere where you can see local street artists and buskers. Then at your last foodie stop, try suppli, a delicious fried rice ball similar to arancini, accompanied by a glass of wine from the region. From here, you can walk back to the city centre or head back into Trastevere to continue exploring this stunning Roman suburb.
