Full description
Join a day trip from Rome to Tivoli to see the Villa of Hadrian and the Villa d’Este against the backdrop of the gorgeous Lazio countryside. You will journey through time, from the ancient world to the Renaissance, on this unique day trip to two of Italy’s greatest gardens.

You will join an expert guide for a tour of the Villa of the Emperor Hadrian, which since its rediscovery in the Renaissance, has inspired great artists such as Michelangelo, Da Vinci and Bernini. The Villa contains the ruins of over 30 buildings that made this ruler’s retreat, including libraries, galleries and bathhouses.

Moving on, you will encounter the Villa D’Este, a wholly unique Renaissance villa and garden complex with a network of over 50 fountains and 640 waterfalls which have awarded the villa its fame.
