Full description
Enjoy a small group tour for a more personal and intimate experience. On this walking tour, you will taste the flavors of Italian and Roman cuisine in addition to discovering the highlights of Rome and its most characteristic neighborhoods.

A professional local guide will escort you around the city as you taste a selection of delicious Italian street food, including food and wine tastings, fried pizza, food jar, a selection of salami and ham, pecorino D.O.P., red and white wine D.O.C.G., olive oil D.O.C.G., locally made ice cream and much more. You will taste the "boccacciello" (a portion jar) thanks to a special aperitif planned with the famous Italian chef Pietro Parisi, expert in the ancient Italian tradition of food jar. Your guide, beside sharing with you his knowledge about food and wine, will also tell you all about the history of Rome.

In fact, the tour will give you the chance to enjoy a special and breathtaking panoramic view of the Colosseum, see Michelangelo's statue of Moses inside St. Peter’s Basilica and visit the picturesque stone paved streets and squares of Rione Monti, filled with street food shops, craft shops, art galleries, restaurants, pubs, bars and gelaterias where the locals meet. End with a visit to the nicest and most important archeological sights of Rome, the newly excavated part of Trajan's Forum, the well preserved market of ancient Rome. Your tour will take place in the Monti district, one of the coolest districts in Rome.

Great Rome Food and Wine Tour

It was a really small private group of just me, my friend and our fabulous guide, Zenda. Zenda was a wonderful guide and made us feel really welcome. She took us for a bit of a historical tour around the Colosseum area and went through each food course with us in depth. We went a little out of the tour scope as we requested a stop at a local supermarket to see what local Italians bought and what they cooked/ate daily etc. Zenda was very very accomodating with that eventhough it was definitely not within the scope of the tour. Overall, 10/10, would recommend to anyone going to Rome and looking for a friendly guide and a genuine Roman experience.
