Ancient Rome will take shape before your eyes as you saunter up and down the city's famous hills on a handy Segway!

Take part in an orientation session before the tour begins and your tour guide will make sure you know all about riding a Segway and do not miss anything on your journey through history.

Look out from Palatine Hill, while your guide explains where legend says Romulus and Remus founded Rome and imagine how hills and fields turned into the Eternal City.

Pass Circus Maximus on your way to Aventine Hill and the Orange Tree Gardens. Then view the ornate Santa Maria in Cosmedin Church with the famous Mouth of Truth and the tallest medieval belfry in Rome.

Before long the imposing Capitoline Hill will come into view with the most important Imperial Roman temple and other major structures redesigned by Michelangelo.

Then, dive between the Imperial Roman Forums and glide beneath one of the world's most impressive sights – the Colosseum.

• Ordinary range of mobility required (such as being able to go up or down stairs without assistance)
