What people are saying about Rome

Wonderful for younger and older children

Our two boys had a fantastic experience at Gladiator School. Our oldest (just 12) is a Roman history buff, and our younger son is just starting to learn. They were equally engaged - Roman history was enhanced by handling of weapons and armor. After this, they went into a small training area where the instructor got their blood pumping with training exercises. Then, they went into an amphitheater and learned sword fighting techniques that were then used for individual battles. It was absolutely fantastic - a highlight of the trip.

A really fun night learning how the great pasta is made in Italy.

This was the first activity we did upon arriving in Rome. We were a bit jet lagged but this got us out and we had a wonderful time. The staff was great. We learned that that the secret to the great pasta is first class flour and local fresh egg. A fun time had by all. Add to the pasta a nice glass of Rosa and our first night was complete.

Excellent opportunity with great learning.

This is an excellent learning opportunity for both children and adults. It's easy to find and the person running it makes learning fun and easy to understand. My girls had a ball here and really enjoyed everything they learned. We liked the museum. The mosquitoes were bad in July so do wear/take bug spray.

The class was fun, lively and a great hands on experience.

Our instructor was fabulous. She showed us step by step how to make Fettucine and aided each when needed. We were in a wonderful restaurant location near Piazza Navona. When we finished our pasta creations, they were cooked by the restaurant chef and served with our meal. Highly recommend.

Lots of fun for the paricipants and the spectators.

We travelled with our nine year old grandson. He and his father were the gladiators. They let the "gladiators" try on various armor. You get a brief history/explanation of gladiatorial combat and over an hour of training and fighting. It was great. I would recommend it for preteens.
