What people are saying about River Cam
We really enjoyed the walking tour. The places we visited were beautiful and our guide was really engaging and friendly. Unfortunately we had to leave the walking tour a little early to make it to a punting time that would fit in with our train home. The boat then left 15 minutes late because we were waiting on other guests - even though there were numerous boats free. That meant we had to run the whole way back to the train station to make sure we caught out train.... which was a little frustrating. Other than that - a good day out in Cambridge.
Ben, our captain had a wealth of knowledge, well put over but not intrusive. Also his boating skills were superb in what was a crowded river environment. Very physically helpful with my aged brother in law and attentive to our comfort and well being. A very enjoyable trip with nothing I could criticise. Well done, the receptionist looked cold but didn't let it show and was very efficient. What more could I say, money well spent.
This was a decent tour, our Mexican guide (I think her name was Paula) was charming and knowledgeable and instantly likeable. In fact my only issue - and this is hardly her fault - is that I could hardly hear her at times above the general hubbub of Cambridge. We loved the punting and were lucky with the weather.
The walking tour with Maria was very informative and interesting- telling us the history, the quirky traditions and everyday life of students. Pip was our guide on the punt, telling us even more about the history of the colleges. The punt was a great way to relax after the walk. Perfect afternoon and great value.
The staff is very friendly and they took the time when they explained about the history of the places we saw while punting. It was amazing and i would and i did already recommend the experience to most of my friends.
