Full description
Start your tour by discovering the city's splendid Art Nouveau district and admire architecture created by Latvian and Russian master architects. Riga is called the “Paris of the North”, and it’s easy to see why with more than one-third of the buildings featuring Art Nouveau architecture.

You will also see the most famous sights of Riga, such as the Independence (Freedom) Monument, the Orthodox cathedral, Vermane Garden and the Central Market with Zeppelin hangars from the World War I. You can also enjoy a guided walking tour along the narrow streets of the Medieval Hanseatic Old Town to see the splendors of the Dome Cathedral, the Old Guild house and Riga Castle.

The most famous building of the Town Hall Square is the magnificent Gothic House of the Blackheads, along with a Statue of Roland. This is also the spot where the first Christmas Tree in history was erected. You can feel the atmosphere of different centuries blending together in the narrow streets of Riga Old Town, which originated in the 13th century.
