What people are saying about Reykjavik

Steve the guide was friendly and helpful

It wasn’t much of a day as far as the weather was concerned. If the weather had been better I’m sure everyone would have found the scenery along the way more interesting - but I enjoyed it anyway. I met a very pleasant woman from Texas who made everything seem like more fun. The rest of the group were very subdued. I was able to get a terrific video of the geyser going off - but it took three goes to get it. Gullfoss was amazing and we enjoyed walking down the gorge. I hadn’t expected to see so many wildflowers in Iceland. The not so secret lagoon was great and helped soak my tired tourist muscles.

Very informative and interesting. A must see when in Reykjavik.

Really interesting place filled with informative boards, displays, models and interactive things for both adults and children. The building is very clean and flows nicely between exhibits. The ice cave is great (remember your coat!) and the observation deck allows you to have a unique view of the city - got some fantastic photos here. Feel free to get the bus to Perlan but it is within walking distance from the city centre. Most staff were super friendly and helpful however there was one that brought down the experience. That's my only negative.

Perlan - Wonders of Iceland Tour Reviewed by Anonymous, 09/15/2019

A little bit extreme tour becouse of Icelandic weather

Experience in the cave was very interesting, but some places were very narrow, so this tour doesn't fit very tall and big persons:) The golden circle was quite extream because of Icelandic weather (Guide said: "Enjoy the weather!"), but everyone should have good clothes for the windy and rainy weather. It was a combo tour. So a lot of time spent in pick up / drop offs (at the morning, at the middle of the day, in the evening) - so actual time for the tour was shorter.

Wilmer did a great job, was very knowledgable about all the sites.

Great tour. We didn't read the description well enough so the cave was a bit more adventure then we'd planned on, but would not have missed it. Wilmar was great! He knew everything on the tour, but also was willing to answer every question about Iceland, from education to cost of housing, history to culture. Weather was terrible, but we still had a great time. Will recommend highly, but dress for cave and weather.

For the adventurous, off-roading and hiking right up to the volcano.

If you like off-roading and hiking then this is the tour for you. Fording streams in a modified 4x4 then hiking across an ash plain right up to the glacier on the volcano. The landscape is foreboding and humbling. Our guide gave us some great insight into both the landscape and Icelandic culture. A fun day.
