Full description
Spend the day exploring the dramatic south of Iceland and its coastline on a full-day sightseeing tour from Reykjavik. Following a pick-up from listed hotels or guesthouses in central Reykjavík, travel to the gorgeous waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.

Along the way, pass a variety of rivers, waterfalls, mountains, and glaciers. At the waterfall at Seljalandsfoss, walk behind the cascades and feel the spray on your face. Continue to Skógafoss to marvel at the 60-meter drop. Pass the black sand beaches of the southern coast and enjoy the power of the sea. Visit the glacier snout of Sólheimajökull to see an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull. Admire the ever-changing feat of Mother Nature up-close.

Then, look at the basalt sea stacks in the charming town of Vik, Iceland’s southernmost village just south of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, before the return transfer to Reykjavik.

This tour was really enjoyable. The stops were at great locations and me and my partner really enjoyed them all. My only criticism would be that sometimes, more specifically at Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss we didn’t really have enough time to do everything we wanted to do there. Particularly, at Seljalandsfoss we didn’t have time to go to another waterfall at that stop that was 500m away.

Really fantastic tour around south iceland. A 1.5 hour bus journey to reach the first stop but completely worth it as the glacier is phenomenal! Our favourite experience in the three days we spent in Iceland. All other attractions are extremely beautiful too. The tour guide was a lovely young lady (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name!!) and she was so informative, enthusiastic and the love for her country shone through. We loved the tour and the thick snow made it even better
