What people are saying about Reims

Fabulous trip, superb guide. Far exceeded expectations!

We booked this at the last minute due to being delayed in France for a day. We lucked out ending up in a small group (just 4 of us) and a fantastic guide, Susanne. The tour of the Taittinger cellars was incredible - so interesting, fascinating detail about the history of the caves and their relevance to the history of Reims, as well as about the production of champagne, the Taittinger house and history. The mini tour of Reims was a great intro to the city as well, and our guide was able to bring it to life for us. Her knowledge of both viticulture, champagne, Reims and the region was excellent - when we asked questions we were often given amazing little snippets of history or local culture which made the trip feel so special. We then visited a very small local house: the contrast was stunning and really brought home to us just how much hard work and time goes into any bottle of champagne. We loved our tasting in the small house; it was so relaxed and personal. Highly recommended.

We very much enjoyed our morning tour. It so happened that we were one of the last tours prior to the season's final day. Thus we enjoyed the foliage on the vines, and even got to sample the sweetness from the few remaining grapes of the Pinot Noir variety. The contrast between the two champagne houses was very interesting, and the information provided by our guide Martin, was very enlightening. We would have liked more insight into the history of Reims, its cathedral, etc., but that was not his focus. We very much enjoyed the recommendation offered for dinner that evening in one of Reims oldest brasseries. We were given one tasting at Taittinger, and offered three at the smaller producer's plant. Transportation was clean and very comfortable as it was just a few of us on the tour. The history of "Les Crayers" is fascinating.

Our tour on 10th March 2020 was absolutely excellent. Martin was super knowledgable about Reims, champagne and much more! We had a fantastic morning and even found a potential champagne supplier for my wedding, for which Martin was very helpful in explaining how the process would work. No doubt we will be back for an official wedding champagne tasting! Martin also recommended some local restaurants and bars for the remainder of our stay in Reims and Epernay which was great to get some local insight. Thanks Martin!

The guide was very nice and told us a lot of things about champagne, the makingmof, the region etc. We could ask a lot of questions. We were lucky to be just the two of us, my friend and me. Not so great was that we could only taste one small glass of Champagne in the Taittinger factory. They could offer another one-also to compare

Our bilingual tour guide was punctual, well informed and extremely pleasant. We explored both Taittinger and Fagot champagne houses gaining knowledge on the long history and process of these fine champagnes. We are already planning to return to Reims to explore this historic town in a year or two.
