What people are saying about Ras al-Khaimah
We had a really great time and we also had a lot of magnificent views on the desert. Our guide Zakir made our tour unforgettable with his dune bashing and we also enjoyed cammel ride. Recommend to everybody who is still thinking about the trip.
Outstanding tour and tour guide - right timing and mix of different activities - a very exciting day in the dunes and beyond
Tour that keeps expectations. Great punctuality. We had fun. Many tourist explanations. It was really nice. Absolutely to try
We booked a private car with my wife and child (5 years old) and our driver (Akku) was a really nice person, very knowledgeable, he gave us a lot of information about Dubai, its history, the places to visit, and obviously was a really good driver... The part with the 4x4 in the dunes was a lot of fun and adrenaline, with Akku putting on some good music, much more sensations than on a rollercoaster :) The sandboarding was cool, even if we have brought back half of the sand of the desert in our shoes, socks, pants etc... :) At this time Akku took a lot of pictures of ourselves with our smartphone, and they are excellent, he has a photographer's eye, and it is worth mentioning that for once in Dubai, this is not an "added service that you have to pay" ... The camel part is cool also, even if more anecdotic. So we strongly recommend this activity, it's well organized, and really worth the price for the fun and memories that we will keep. And special thanks to Akku !
At first I was hesitant because it seemed too good to be true. But it was exactly as advertised. I opted for the morning group session. The driver picks you up from your hotel and drives you about 45 mins to the dunes. While the car is prepped for dune bashing, you can pay to four wheel at the base of the dunes. You dune bash to a location where you're given time to take pics of the area and sandboard. From there, you dune bash/drive to an area where the camel and brunch are waiting for you. You ride two people per camel with a guide directing the camel where to go. You ride about a quarter of a mile then return to a traditional brunch as advertised. At the end, the driver drops you back off at your hotel. If you sign up for the brunch excursion, you get back to your hotel with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day. It's a surprise that this isn't more people. Well worth it! Shameer was a great guide and the best driver.
