This was a fantastic experience. We were looking for an interesting way to travel between Hoi An and Hue, having not been very impressed with overnight trains and buses. We also did not want to lose 4 hours of our day just sitting in a standard vehicle. This trip makes a day of adventure out of the journey. The views from the mountain pass were beautiful and the stop for lunch and a swim at the beach broke up the day nicely. We had a brilliant English speaking tour guide. Would highly recommend!
We got picked-up on time and drove to Old-town. Bikes we pretty old, so that could be better. Tourguide was friendly and asked us what we wanted to try and eat. Even though the tour didn't last for 4 hours (instead it was more like 2 hours), we still enjoyed the bike ride and (street)food. The tourguide told us stories about the history of Hoi An which was great.
On arrival the ticket collection is quite straightforward and sign posted. You can enjoy a welcome drink (payable) or a free refreshment as part of the show, peach tea was very nice. Sitting in the nicely chilled air conditioned hall you are left captivated through the performance which is is full of passion. Very helpful and pleasant staff and performers.
Tour was very good itself, our tour guide was very friendly and knew his facts however he was a little hard to understand but that’s not his fault! The boat part was nice with a simple rice & tofu lunch and the option to buy drinks on board. Overall was very good for the price and a nice bit of history added to our travels.
It was a very full on day. Our guide (Snow) was full of energy from the start. When we got to Marble Mountains it was raining and the escalator was not available yet she asked us if we still wanted to proceed and we did with gusto! Amazing guide, full of energy and care. Highly recommend the whole day.
