What people are saying about Prague

Great tour, great guide but little free time for photos or exploring.

Our guide, Ian, was great. Knowledgeable, humorous and got the job done. This was a whistle stop tour of the Sedlec Ossuary & St. Barbara’s Church, Kutna Hora. Started 10am, quick intro then a long walk to meet the bus. First stop - the Bone Chapel - very interesting but only 15 minutes for photos & looking round. Quick chat in the cemetery then back to the bus for the short trip to St. Barbara’s Church. Beautiful building, fantastic alter, ceiling & chapels, magnificent stained glass windows but, if you listen to your guide’s commentary, no time at all to wander freely / take photos. Then it was off to a reasonably priced restaurant for lunch (not included in cost of tour). Stayed there for much longer than at either of the main attractions of the tour! Couple more short stops then back on the coach for return journey. Pros: Great guide. Cons: Too short, little free time, Almost half the tour was spent at lunch (recurring theme in Sandemans reviews), big group (30+)

Great way to get an overview of the city and its history

We took this tour on our first morning in Prague and it was a great way to start the trip. There was only the guide, two of us and another guest. A really good sized group. We chose this tour as it took you around the outskirts of the city looking down onto it. The cycling was nice and relaxed, with a couple of small hills only and lots of stops to enjoy the view and get some more history and details of the city. We went to several areas that we wouldn't have reached otherwise and got a great feel for which bits to explore more after the tour. Gretchen (the guide) was brilliant. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She knew a huge amount about the city and gave us loads of great tips for the rest of our stay. Highly recommended

This was an inexpensive way to experience Prague from a different view

We enjoyed our river cruise especially given that it was raining all day so it was nice to be warm and dry. Our captain was great in telling us where places were. They give you a drink and dessert on board. Like other reviews say, you basically just spend 40 minutes driving around in slow circles in the bay because you can’t go past the dams but other than that it was a nice way to pass the time. It was a little pricey for what you get but it was still one of the cheaper options. Unfortunately the museum was closed for a festival also so we couldn’t do that. They said we could come back the next day to do the museum but unfortunately we were leaving.

Thoroughly enjoyable day from start to finish !

Excellent trip ! Great driving by George . The guide Emma was great ...reviewing the countries history while explaining everything we were looking at. Enjoyable lunch . Beautiful scenery....was great to see the countryside . Both towns were really interesting and beautiful. Tour of the castle was excellent very entertaining .

River cruise was picturesque. Audio guide and driver informative.

Organizational skills for boarding and disembarking were a shambles and waiting time was extended when other boats from the new town arrived with people who had also purchased tickets to board. Entry and exit was via one staircase and everyone had to move aside for departing guests.
