We were picked up from our hotel on time . Our guide William was excellent .He really looked after the group . We got to our first activity early ,which was the visit to Bastei Bridge in Germany. There was a short walk from the car park to the bridge ,the scenery there was breathtaking and our guide was very knowledgable about the area and told loads of interesting facts about the history of the bridge . This lasted for approximately an hour and there was plenty of time to take lots of photos . Our next stop was a short journey back into Czech Republic to see Pravcika Gate, the largest sand stone arch in Europe, This was a moderate walk up through a wooded area and following a pathway to the arch ,,again our guide went at our pace and we weren’t rushed at any point. Again the views were amazing and we were also informed that scenes from the film Narnia. After lunch we went on the boat along Kamenice Gorge. I would really recommend this tour .Value for money and a great guide.
Our guide, Colorado Dave is a great guide. We felt like he was a storyteller every step of the way. He made sure that we were all together and in time. Just we had a 4 year old with us that we pushed in the stroller most of the time and that was not an issue. Just be aware that you will need to walk slightly fast from the meeting point to the train station to get to Kuta Hora station. This means that you should wear proper shoes and bit able to keep up with others. We did not have any problems at all but noted that there were some that were having issues. This tour did not come with lunch, however we did go to a local restaurant together as a group to have lunch that was pre-ordered while we were in the train. The food was amazing! We highly recommend Colorado Dave as your guide!
My mother and I booked a last minute trip to Karlovy Vary and fell in love with the town. Quite honestly, I wish you could leave me here permanently! It's a beautiful midieval spa town in the middle of the Bohemian valley, stuck in time, with 18 natural mineral springs and geysers. Absolutely picturesque! We also stopped at the Moser glass factory to see how the famous glass works are made. The only downside is that you don't have too much free time to spend on your own. I don't think the lunch portion is necessary, and then you'd have more free time to explore and maybe visit a spa for a few hours. Regardless, the tour is well worth it. A must see!
Excellent tour and a must see. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept the group engaged throughout the day. The tour is a long day with a lot of walking including stairs. It was unclear what the rules for lunch were. One guide told us to buy sandwiches in Prague to bring with us; the other guide told us to buy lunch in Terezin at a place he arranged. So some brought lunch and others ate at a restaurant. Some more organization up front about lunch would be good. Also watch for bathrooms as you go. There are some stretches where there are no facilities.
My mother and I booked this trip to Kutna Hora very last minute and had a blast. The bone chapel was one of the coolest and creepiest things I've seen and St. Barbara's Gothic cathedral was a site not to miss. Colorado Dave (our tour guide) is probably the most knowledgeable, funny and engaging tour guide that I have ever had on these tours. I highly recommend this tour, you won't be sorry!
