Full description
Visit Poznan, a medieval city with one of the most beautiful town squares in all of Europe. As a historic site Poznan ranks as high as Cracow or Gdansk. It was even included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. It possesses a very rich history and the most beautiful cathedrals in all of Poland.

At the beginning of the tour pass through the city's historic wall. Walk along the town square of Poznan, a path once accessible only to powerful monarchs. From there you will stroll through the narrow streets of this historical area until you reach the Church of St. Stanislaus, the Bishop and the Martyr. This church is a precious pearl of the Polish Baroque, brimming with gilded ornaments and moldings. There you will have an opportunity to climb the churches tower to admire a gorgeous panorama of the city.

Next to the church, see the former Jesuit’s Collegium then continue the tour on a walk around the quaint Chopin Park. Head to the lively Market Square, which boasts impressive Medieval architecture, before arriving at the Town Hall. Listen to your guide share fascinating stories and legends about the Town Hall, including one that involves goats. Afterwards, visit the Bamberka Monument, Palace of Gorki, and the Prosperpina Fountain. This is where the 2-hour tour ends.

The 3-hour tour continues on an exploration of the city and offers a greater understanding of Poznan’s history and architecture. Follow your guide to the Imperial Castle to learn about its turbulent past at the Culture Center of Poznan. Walk around the Castle’s gardens and soak up the scenic views, then pass by Adam Mickiewicz University, which is named after one of the most iconic Polish artists.
