We joined both the red and blue tours of the city, which provided us with two very different views of the city. Having used hop on/hop off tours many times, we have found these the best way to experience a new city. With Porto being hilly, this was particularly helpful, some of them could be avoided ! Our plan is to go round the entire route once, and select stop (s) to hop off on the second time around, on both routes we noted places of interest which we subsequently stopped. The buses on both routes run every 1/2 hour, waiting time was acceptable. However, one dissapointment would be that no announcement was made by the driver (s) of an up and coming bus stop. Maps are provided, however, when you are visiting a new destination, I believe this would improve the tour.

The Tour in its design is very good, unfortunately it rained the day we left and the bus was raining as outside, the frequency between bus and bus seemed eternal, even more with the rain, Porto is spectacular we do not enjoy it as much as we would have liked .

The bus has a predefined route with three lines, blue, red and yellow. In my case I got the red one, I saw a lot of beautiful things but I didn't know what it was because the guide just doesn't exist, you get a headset that in theory would be to listen to the guide's exposure, but it remained silent throughout the route and it wasn't just my phone that was muted all the time, it happened to all the people on board. Anyway interesting tour but .........
