Full description
Following your departure from the Douro Marina, you will make your way to the cost for some fantastic views of the beach and can also observe the migration of local birds. The Douro Estuary, located between the banks of the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia consists of about 20 hectares. This area ranges between São Paio Bay, which sits in front of the estuary, to the sandy area of the Cabedelo.

Given its location, this estuary is one of the best places in this region for bird watching, namely migratory and shorebird species. The protection of both the birds and the landscape is the main objective of this refuge.

Throughout this cycle through the estuary of the River Douro are you will encounter a multitude of wildlife. Watchmen, crows of cormorants, white herons, tortoises, and sea turtles will all be present in the area, as well as many more species.
