What people are saying about Porto

Great experience - the highlight of my holiday in Portugal.

I would highly recommend this tour. It was well organized with a good balance of information and relaxation, and opportunities to sample and buy products such as wine, olive oil, port, honey. The small group size (8) made it easy to socialize. We were picked up and dropped off at our various hotels. The 1-hour boat cruise should not be missed and was well worth the extra 10 €. Lunch was included and was excellent. Fabulous scenery and a great experience overall!

Fantastic day of seeing amazing sights, and sampling wines.

This was an amazing tour with a wonderful guide. Our small group visited a small winery that also made olive oil where we found out about how to make olive oil and sampled their wines. A boat tour of the Duoro River was followed by a wonderful home-cooked meal at a family establishment. In the afternoon, we visited a family winery where we learned about the making of port and sampled many types of port wine. A totally satisfying day.

Excellent tour, excellent and knowledgeable guideguide

The tour included beautiful landscapes, local history, fauna & flora, region typical lunch, a taste of the natural springs and a wonderful guide Pedro. The beautiful old Roman road was a pleasure to pass on either by car or by foot. The various trees in the woods are part of an unique ecosystem, combining Mediterranean and Atlantic species, and served as a peaceful environment for the day. We highly recommend taking this tour!

Amazing guide, amazing wine, amazing scenery

We had Violetta as our guide in a small group of 8 (4 of us and 4 others who were all very easy to get along with) and she was amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly and fun.. The stops were fantastic, the wine, port, views, and food all great and the tour was perfectly paced. The optional boat ride was also well worth the small amount of extra money. Highly recommended by us!

We really enjoyed the Douro Valley trip, and thought it great value.

Our guide, Pedro (apologies for not knowing his name in Portuguese!) was knowledgeable, friendly, informative and good company. Even on a wet, grey day, the valley was beautiful and worth visiting. The tastings were high quality and generous, as was the typical Portuguese lunch. We would definitely recommend this tour.
