Full description
Are you ready to eat your way through Porto? This historic city is famous for its gorgeous views and amazing scenery, but it's also at the very heart of Portugal's delicious culinary traditions. Explore the best of Porto’s famous sights while sampling some of its best bites. Stop at lookout points over the Douro river, and visit the city's most popular taverns, markets, and cafes.

Begin this Porto food tour with a typically Portuguese habit: a coffee accompanied by a pastel de Nata (egg tart pastry), in a cafe that is more than 200 years old. From there, taste and talk about the 1001 ways to prepare codfish, discuss the influence of former colonies in culture and cuisine, learn about Portugal's most famous navigators, and the tragedies of the Douro River.

Along the way you’ll sample a few authentic local specialties like bolinho de bacalhau (codfish), taste Portuguese comfort food such as a spicy pork sandwich, and be astonished by the mind-blowing cheese and smoked meats

Finish off the tour with an outstanding port wine cocktail and make a toast to the beautiful city, no tour of Porto is complete without world famous port wine!
