What people are saying about Port Campbell National Park
For natural scenery at its most breathtaking, this tour is tops. Especially, do not bypass the many steps down in Gibson's Steps -- the scenery at the bottom is spectacular and cannot be seen from the top. The rain forest is quite cool too (pun intended). The driver guide could/should have offered more explanation. As she is new to Australia (only 4 months in the country), perhaps she hasn't had time to fill in her own gaps, but the company (Go West Tours) could have done a better job of training. The guide was very personable -- just not knowledgeable enough to offer more than the minimum. But the sites are so spectacular that even without much explanation this trip is certainly worth the money.
I went for the Great Ocean Road day tour with Go West tour on 22 December, and I would like to give a quick shoutout to Damon. I think he is a fantastic tour guide who does his job very professionally. He's able to drive and convey the itinerary, history of the place all at the same time, makes us feel comfortable throughout the day. The entire itinerary was great, ensured that we got the best views of the coast. To drive 13 hours at one go, I really wonder what keeps Damon going? I think he has done a fantastic job. Best Tour Operator in Australia in 2017? Yup, I can totally see why!
We had a fantastic day out with our funny and informative guide Graham, great people on the tour and some beautiful coastal, forest and farm sights along the way. We were provided with lunch (despite tour saying without lunch) which might be best eaten elsewhere to reduce congestion. This tour is great if you’re short on time. Bring a jacket and umbrella as weather is changeable. Highly recommended!
Great trip! The guide, Katherine, was very warm and told us lots of little stories about the places we visited. Food was very good. One thing that maybe could've been better is the duration of time we spent at each stop. Maybe increasing it by a bit would make for an even better experience, but one is limited by the fact that it is a day tour. Overall an amazing experience
- the sites of the tour are very well selected and coordinated; - the journey is full of actions and fun! - the place (Appolo Bay) stopped for lunch has a lot of great choices - most importantly, the tour guides are great passionate professionals: Yazmin and Daniel
