A century on the light these two formidable female icons lit shine on.

Florence Nightingale and Edith Cavell have long passed on but their names will always be remembered, as will the legacies they left behind. They will be remembered by nurses and the general public. They died in very different circumstances, but both rose against unacceptable conditions and conventions; as a consequence changes followed for which the world is and always will be grateful. The lamp of Florence Nightingale continues to shed light on nursing and healthcare in general, and Edith Cavell's teaching on how to treat everybody without exception equal is what has moved nursing into the twenty-first century and made it into the highly respected profession it is today. We will always remember them.

Westminster Abbey was great but beware of ticket purchase

Westminster Abbey was wonderful to see although incredibly crowded as you might expect. Read the fine print before you purchase any tickets because they did not accept our digital pdf tickets. We had to leave the line and walk a few blocks to a place to print physical tickets and then rejoin the line after we had the printout.

One of the most beautiful places I have seen.

This is a must see. I have been to many places all over the world and this was beautiful! We went with our children 17, 14 and 5. They are enjoyed it! The only down side for our 5 year old is they give them a book instead of the audio guide and he can't read yet. So, that was a miss!

I love the Westminster Abbey!Absolutely worth it!

It took me awhile to figure out that I was doing the children’s tour with the lion and that there was another option for adults. Get your physical tickets in advance as the lines were long! Wonderful tour, humbling to be in a space with such history.

Great historical knowledge and information

I would recommend purchasing a travel pass prior to visiting these sites as it can get expensive. The site is nice with lots of information and being able to go up to the very top is a breath taking experience. I would highly recommend it
